The Whole Armor of God Ephesians 6:10-20

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. ¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the ^[b]wiles of the devil. ¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of ^[c]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ¹³ Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

¹⁴ Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. ¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; ¹⁸ praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— ¹⁹ and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

What is Salvation?

Wikipedia states: In Christianity, salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences^[a]—which include death and separation from God—by Christ’s death and resurrection,^[1] and the justification entailed by this salvation.

However, when we look closely at the Greek word translated as ‘saved’ here, it’s clear that it’s not just our eternal destination that God’s concerned about. The word is ‘sozo’, which when used elsewhere in the New Testament is translated variously as ‘save, heal, make whole, deliver‘.

In short Salvation or Sozo is to be saved, healed, and delivered. Most ministries outside of the United States understand that when you are saved and accept Christ you also need to be healed and delivered. In the United States the Gospel of Compliance has created an atmosphere of denial. Besides being a river in Egypt, denial will cause you to believe the lie that you are powerless. Paul got right to point.

Romans 8:37

“³⁷ Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

You are not powerless you are powerful, exercise that power and change the world. Christ in you is the power, faith hope and love are the fuel. Jesus told me a long time ago. ” I will never run out of love use all you want.”

As a recap in order to be saved you need to have the Shield of faith which is the exceedingly great reward of Abraham and available to all that have faith. You need to have the Boots of the gospel of peace, this is a desire to exist in harmony with God, man and nature. You need to know these things are true, and the truth is wrapped around you with the Belt of truth. This will protect your heart and manifest the Breastplate of Righteousness. This righteousness was in the heart of Abraham. “Abraham believed and it was accounted to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:6. We have to protect this in our hearts and when combine all these elements it occurs to us we are saved. Saved by Grace, Saved by Faith and through is we are given the Helmet of Salvation.

As a practitioner of deliverance ministries, I can attest that the more accurate term for Salvation or being saved is Sozo. Sozo is the process of salvation. While evil cannot be in you when you are saved it can be on you. It can whisper in your ears. It will tell you a thousand truths to get you to believe one lie. The biggest lie is that they are stronger than you. Deliverance from all the bad agreements we made, and generational issues need to be dealt with and not ignored.

Being Healed of your issues, being Saved from all the agreements and generational curses and, being Delivered from the enemy is what we truly need.
